NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN KISH PARK

Mifflin County National Night Out will be held in Kish Park on Tuesday, August 5 from 6 to 9PM.

There will be a DJ, car/motorcycle show, Fire Department demos, many displays, firetrucks, police cars, and helicopters.

See the past and present of the Lewistown fire companies! They’ll have a display of items from the Henderson Fire Company and others at the park! They’ll be set up by the fire apparatus so stop by and see what it was like for firefighters in the past! They are bringing history to Kish Park! Stop by fire history display and see how much firefighting has changed from the past!

Plus, a bicycle giveaway and raffle. Sponsored by Mifflin County Children and Youth, a backpack giveaway. Children in grades K-12th must be present for a backpack. Contents in backpacks may vary. All while supplies last.

The 6th annual Dewey Hill Benefit will be held on Saturday, August 16. Come on out for a fun day, supporting a great local resident, Rhoda Trevitz.

There will be a cornhole tournament. Registration is from 11AM to 12:30PM. Bags will fly at 1PM. Partners are randomly drawn. Boards provided. You may bring your own bags if desired. The cost to participate is $10. (50% of proceeds go to the benefactor)

Rhoda has had 2 devastating events happen to her within just a few short months. First, she lost everything in a house fire and secondly, she lost her husband.
