TRIO OF MIFFLIN COUNTY ALUM FINISH AS SMALL COLLEGE WORLD SERIES RUNNERS-UP

Penn State Dubois is really good at baseball. Like, really good.

After winning four of the previous five contested USCAA Small College World Series titles, the Lions worked their way back into this year’s title game but, unfortunately, came up short in a 4-0 loss to Cincinnati-Clermont.

There is no shame at all in being second-best in the country, that’s for sure. And Dubois was led by not one, not two, but three (!) Mifflin County alum!

Junior Colby Bodtorf hit .382 with 19 steals. Fellow junior Bryce Dobson hit .253 and homered three times this season. And yet another junior, Connor Cherry, was 5-0 with one save this year. Bodtorf, by the way, was named to the USCAA Small College World Series All-Tournament team.

All three will be back next season to try and get back Penn State Dubois back to the Small College World Series…again!
