The Mifflin County Junior High School is having a “recycling competition” between 8th and 9th grade through the NexTrex program.
When you return 1000 pounds of plastic to the organization, they turn those recyclable plastics into a bench. The class who collects the most plastic will get the bench in honor of their graduating class in the school’s courtyard!
Start collecting these items now for drop-off on April 21 (2-4 pm) and April 22 (8am-4:15pm) at the main office) when the Community Service Club tries to meet its 1,000 pound requirement for a free bench!
If you can’t make it then, drop off your items at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Lewistown any weekday through Thursday, April 17, between 9 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.
