Congratulations to Mifflin County alum Gia Hoppel!

The Penn State Altoona softball player has earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Hoppel needed at least a 3.5 GPA to earn the honor. On the field this season, the junior was named Second Team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Gia is majoring in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.
