The Mifflin County School District is proud to share that Miss Ashlie J. Crosson has been named the 2025 National Teacher of the Year, an extraordinary honor recognizing her excellence in education on a national level.
Following her selection as the 2024 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year, Miss Crosson was among 57 top educators, each representing their respective states and territories, considered for this prestigious award through the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) National Teacher of the Year Program.
Beginning this summer, Miss Crosson will spend the next year serving as a national ambassador for educators and students, using her platform to advocate for excellence in teaching and to share her insights with audiences across the country.
Miss Crosson has been a dedicated member of the Mifilin County Fligh School faculty since August 2020. where she teaches Advanced Placement (AP) Language and Composition, English 10, Journalism, and Survival Stories.
A 2007 graduate of Lewistown Area High School, Miss Crosson is a proud product of the Mifflin County School District. Her remarkable achievement is a testament to the caliber of educators within our schools.
