Mary Kanagy is a sophomore at Mifflin County High School. In addition to getting great grades and running track, she also plays guitar, sings and writes her own songs. Mary’s English class was reading a book, “In the Time of the Butterflies” by Julia Alvarez, when the inspiration hit to write the song, “Esta Pelea.”
