CC5 FUND GIVING BACK WITH AN OLD-FASHIONED CHRISTMAS

The Community Cares 5 Dollar Fund (CC5) does so much good in our area!

The group, whose mission is to ” show the power of our community, $5 at a time, through charitable kindness that will provide a ‘hand up’ to the hardworking families of Juniata County by assisting with basic needs such as food, heating oil assistance, and utility shut-off prevention.”

This weekend, CC5 hosts its second annual old-fashioned Christmas event, an afforadable chance for your children to meet and get a picture with Santa Claus.. It’s another small donation fundraiser aiming to meet their mission and help their neighbors in need.

There will be refreshments as wel, like hot dogs, chips, water, juice, hot cocoa and cookies.

Crafts and games for the children, too. They’ll be able to make reindeer food, decorate an ornament and more.

The event is from 3-6 p.m. with Santa there from 3:30-5:30 and children that get a photo with the Jolly Old Elf will receive a small gift (while supplies last). After that, Santa will read the children a story, starting at 5:45.

There is a requested $5 donation per family to help cover expenses. If you’d simply like to make a donation to help this wonderful organization, mail your check, payable to to Community Cares 5 Dollar Fund, to P.O. Box 107, Port Royal, Pa 17082.
