We have some amazing healthcare available in our area! Again this year, the Chartis Center for Rural Health rreleased its annual list of the top 100 rural and community hospitals in the United States and, again this year, Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is on it for the third straight time!

To determine the 2024 list, the Chartis Center used the Hospital Strength Index, which assesses performance in eight areas: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge and financial efficiency.

“Our teams work hard every day to deliver high-quality care to our patients — care that’s providing positive patient outcomes and changing lives,” said Tammy Anderer, chief administrative officer for Geisinger’s western region. “This honor goes out to all our teams for making such a positive impact. Together, we’re making better health easier for our patients and communities.”
