Recently, Major Fred Clarke of the Salvation Army in Lewistown went public with a goal of $50,000. At the time, he said he was about $15k shy of that number.
Having heard about this, a local resident anonymously stepped in and told the Major that if he could raise $10,000 in the next two weeks, he/she would match it!
Well, guess what? You did it again! You gave and gave and gave.
We received this update from Major Clarke yesterday:
“We did it we matched the $10,00.00!! Our effort this year is at $60,364.44 With five days to go It is a banner year.”
We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again. This area is the most kind, caring, giving area in the country. And we are proud to be a part of this community. Merry Christmas!
