MERF MUTTNESS 2025

We gave you a week to fetch your cutest dog pictures for inclusion in our first-ever Merf Muttness.  We needed 64 for our bracket. You submitted waaaay more than that. Your response was pawsome. Thank you!

But let’s be honest—this has probably been the ruffest task we’ve ever taken on. Narrowing down all those adorable pups to just 64? That’s paw-sitively im-paw-sible. Have you ever tried to look through hundreds of dog photos and pick just 64? It’s a true “tail-spin” of emotions!

So many fur-tastic dogs didn’t make the cut, but don’t worry—they’re still winners in our eyes! We based our decisions on the dog, their tail-wagging story, the cuteness factor of the photo, and when we just couldn’t choose, we let the bark decide (yes, eenie meenie miney mo was involved).

Now it’s time for YOU to get in on the action! Voting is open, and you can vote once a day, every day. Remember, Merf Muttness is all about fun, celebrating our furry friends, and having a howl of a good time—so let’s not get too “barked” up about the results.

“MERF Muttness” OFFICIAL RULES

1.Eligibility and Limitations:

    • Dog owners must be 18 years of age or older the day he/she enters the contest.
    • No purchase necessary for participation. Odds of winning are 1-in-64 once the initial dogs are selected.
  • Employees of 7 Mountains Media’s “Merf Muttness,” participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, employees of other radio or television stations, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.
  • Only one winner per household every thirty (30) days.
  • 7 Mountains Media reserves the right to make rule, contest or date changes at any time.
  • The decision of 7 Mountains Media regarding participants and winners is absolutely final.
  1. Dates & Duration:

Contest will begin on March 4, 2025 and run through April 7, 2025. The submission deadline for possible inclusion in Merf Muttness is Feb 27, 2025. Dogs and their owners from Mifflin and Juniata counties will be given first priority at filling out the bracket.

The rounds will run as follows: 

Round of 64: March 4-9, 2025

Round of 32: March 11-16, 2025

Round of 16: March 18-23, 2025

Round of 8: March 25-30, 2025

Round of 4: April 1-3, 2025

Finals: April 4-8 (8.a.m.), 2025

 

  1. Location:
    Contestants will need to register on the Features page at MerfRadio.com. 

 

  1. Indemnification:
    All participants and their pets will be considered contestants of “Merf Muttness” and will hold 7 Mountains Media free from liability of any kind to person or property arising from participation in the “Merf Muttness” promotional contest.

 

  1. Value/Prize(s):
    The grand prize will be awarded on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 shortly after 8am, announced live on Merf Radio. TThe prize(s) that may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are not transferable, or exchangeable for any other prize. The prize(s) are date-specific and the winner or winners must be available on the dates specified. 7 Mountains Media disclaims all liability for any delays, mis-delivered, loss, or failure in the delivery of any prize requested to be sent by mail. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified for any reason, 7 Mountains Media reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion. Prizes must be claimed by the winner after presenting proper legal identification.

 

  1. Publicity:
    By participating, all participants and winner(s) grant 7 Mountains Media exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, videotape, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By participating in any 7 Mountains Media contest, participants agree that 7 Mountains Media  may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the Contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.

 

7.Conduct, Decisions and How to Play:

  • The contest will be played March 4, 2025 through April 7, 2025 on the Features page at MerfRadio.com, under the “Merf Muttness” post. Just one entry per dog. Additional entries will be discarded prior to the drawing.
  • A dog owner must fill out the required form and upload a picture of their dog to be considered for the field of 64..
  • Merf Radio will select selected 64 dogs for inclusion in the initial bracket. After each round, the field will be cut in half. 
  • A household may win just once every thirty (30) days, regardless of the winner from that home.
  • Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified.
  • Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited.
  • Any votes that appear to be from a bot will be removed from vote totals.
  • You may vote one per day, every day, during the duration of the contest.
  • 7 Mountains Media will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest.
  • Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately circumvent, disrupt, damage or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, 7 Mountains Media reserves the right to seek civil and/or criminal prosecution and/or damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • All decisions will be made by 7 Mountains Media and are final.

8. Changes or Modifications:
Changes or modifications to contest rules may be made at any time and will be displayed at MerfRadio.com prior to becoming effective.
