The writers chose Rennie Stennett’s September ’75 game as the Buccos’ best. Stennett went 7-for-7, becoming the only player in big league history to do so. Both the Pirates and Phillies won those games, both against the Cubs. Philadelphia over Chicago, 18-16 in 10, and the Pirates’ by a score of 22-0.
