Moving the start time up by an hour and a half helped NASCAR get in the bulk of last night’s Toyota 500. Denny Hamlin won the rain-shortened race. Kyle Busch ran second. The drivers and crews now move on to Charlotte for Sunday’s running of the Coca-Cola 600. It will be third race in eight days as the series tries to make up some time lost to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown.
And Ohio State is looking at a model that includes filling Ohio Stadium to roughly 20% of its capacity for this fall’s football games. The Buckeyes’ athletic director said they could go to 40-50% if distancing guidelines are relaxed. The stadium can hold close to 103,000 people.
