Mifflin County Minors Softball lost last night against Clearfield 9-6.  They have one more chance in Clearfield for the District Championships tonight.  Mifflin County Majors Softball won the opening round of regionals with a score of 11-8 against Indiana.

 

The United States Women’s National Soccer Team battled past England with a 2-1 triumph that secures the USA a record fifth appearance in a FIFA Women’s World Cup Final.

 

Remey Reed allowed just two hits over seven innings, leading the Batavia Muckdogs over the State College Spikes in a 1-0 win.

 

Rhett Wiseman doubled and singled twice, driving in three runs as the Harrisburg Senators topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels 11-2

 

A five-run third inning for the Akron RubberDucks was too much to overcome for the Altoona Curve in a 7-2 loss.

 

Adam Frazier got a three-run shot off Mike Montgomery shortly after a long rain delay – and scored three runs to lead the Pirates to a 5-1 victory.

 

Aaron Nola pitched eight innings, Jay Bruce hit a two-run double and the Philadelphia Phillies spoiled Dallas Keuchel’s home debut with Atlanta, beating the Braves 2-0.
