The Flyers got a goal each from six different players in beating visiting Toronto last night, 6-1. Tonight, the Penguins get back at it, hosting the St. Louis Blues.

Following its last regular season football game of the season, Penn State is ranked 10th by the College Football Playoff committee. Ohio State is one, followed by LSU, Clemson and Georgia, respectively. One loss teams Utah, Oklahoma and Baylor are five through seven, all hoping that something breaks their way to earn spot in the four-team championship playoff.

Penn State, by the way, had a pair of defensive standouts named All-Big Ten first team by both the coaches and media. Lineman Yetur Gross-Matos, who declared for the NFL draft a year early yesterday, and Micah Parsons earned the honor. Parsons was also named Big Ten Linebacker of the Year. Offensive winners will be announced today.

There were a couple of Top 20 matchups in college basketball last night. Top-ranked Louisville beat #4 Michigan, 58-43, and 10th-ranked Duke topped #11 Michigan State, 87-75. Tonight, 6-1 Penn State welcomes in 5-3 Wake Forest as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Penn State will wear its black and pink uniforms, paying homage to the university’s original school colors. The Nittany Lions are 9-0 in regular-season games in the black and pink. Tip-time is 9:15.
