The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) has approved a six percent toll increase for 2020 for both E-Z Pass and cash customers. The increase is set to start on January 5th on all sections and extensions, excluding three western PA “cashless” toll facilities. The most-common toll for a passenger vehicle next year will increase from $1.40 to $1.50 for E-Z Pass customers and from $2.30 to $2.50 for cash customers. Tolls will not rise at three western PA highways that will see increases in October. The increase is required to meet escalating costs, and will also support the 10-year plan to preserve the Turnpike.
