Donations are being accepted for the family of a woman who was stabbed to death late last month in Juniata County.  Thirty-three-year-old Cindy Siennick was pronounced dead at the scene of a domestic incident January 24th on Mowery Street in Mifflin Borough.  Siennick left six children who are now in the care of their grandmother.  Funds are being raised to help purchase a vehicle for the family.  Donations can be made to the Siennick Children Car Fund, c/o JVB, One (1) East Market Street in Lewistown.  All branches of JVB will accept monetary donations.

 

The American Red Cross bloodmobile will be in Juniata County today.  You can give blood at the Fayette Area Lions Den on Lions Den Drive in McAlisterville from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

 

East Broad Top Railroad will make a special announcement about the future of the railroad at 11:00 am today.  The announcement will be made outdoors.  Parking is available by the roundhouse or at the Rockhill Trolley Museum. Refreshments will follow at the Trolley Museum’s pavilion.  The East Broad Top Station is located at 421 Meadow Street in Rockhill Furnace.

 

All PennDOT driver license and photo centers will be closed Saturday (February 15th) through Monday (February 17th) in observance of Presidents Day.  Customers can still obtain all forms, publications and driver training manuals online at www.dmv.pa.gov.  Motorists can also check conditions on Pennsylvania roadways at www.511PA.com.
