The Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau will be hosting a retail “pop-up shop” for the Mifflin County Historical Society on December 19, 20 and 23. Last minute gift shoppers can “pop” into the Historic Courthouse to find a variety of books with local significance including Forest Fisher’s new book A Mifflin County Christmas. Many other local history books will be on sale as will the 2020 Historical Society calendars. Stocking stuffers such as vintage holiday cards and postcards will also be available. The pop-up shop will be in the lobby of the Historical Courthouse on Monument Square, Downtown Lewistown, and will be open from 8:30am until 5pm Dec. 19, 20 and 23. Payment must be in cash or good check. For more information, go to the JRV Visitors Bureau Facebook page, call 717-248-6713 or email email@example.com.
Nonperishable food donations for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard will also be accepted at this location.
