The Centre County Historical Society are pleased to once again invite the public to attend its 26th Annual Plant Celebration sale on Saturday, May 8 at the Centre Furnace Mansion from 9AM to 2PM.

Shoppers can get a peek at the current restoration work being done on the mansion including the replacement of its roof and other repairs and restoration while shopping for plants!

Bring your burning garden questions, plant samples or identification questions for Penn State Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners of Centre County! Master Gardeners will be on hand from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. throughout the Plant Celebration.

The Plant Celebration features native and non-native plants from local and regional growers, and from the Centre Furnace Mansion Gardens.  Locally grown herbs, annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs will be available for sale.  A complete vendor list is available online:  www.centrehistory.org.

Covid-19 Protocol: CCHS will follow current Pennsylvania state guidance and the guidelines set forth by College Township on outdoor gatherings, core public health measures such as face covering (mask-wearing), social distancing, and hand hygiene. Staff, volunteers, vendors and visitors must adhere to these guidelines.

Proceeds from the plant sale benefit the Centre County Historical Society and its period inspired gardens and grounds of the historic Centre Furnace Mansion and Boogersburg School.
