Hey guys! The name is Darla! I’m a beagle born on December 25, 2011. That’s right I’m a Christmas baby! I was surrendered along with my sister and we’ve spent our whole lives together until she was adopted. I’d love to have a forever family too!
I’m a bit of a nervous pup, some loud noises bother me, but not thunderstorms. I get along with other dogs and used to even live with a cat. Car rides are fun, but I’m on high alert when a big truck goes by.
I’m housetrained except for the occasional mid-night time accident. I’ll be honest, I pull big time on my leash, so we should work on using corrective harnesses.
I love cuddles, know how to sit and will even stand on my hind feet if I’m excited. I’m just a sweet older lady looking for some love! Let’s meet soon!
For approximately 10 years, Perry County Animal Rescue (PCoAR) has been sheltering lost and unwanted animals from Juniata and Perry Counties until a new home is found or we can reunite them with their owners. We promote responsible pet ownership through education, vaccination, spay/neuter, licensing and general pet care.

Remember, getting a pet is a years-long commitment, not just a Christmas present. Make sure you adopt the pet that is right for you not just now, but year-round.
