Washington & Jefferson athletics has selected Anna Stroup (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata) and Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers) of the Indoor Track & Field programs as its Student-Athletes of the Month for February 2023.

Stroup holds an 3.83 cumulative grade-point average while studying History. She also has minors in Spanish and Economics. Stroup, who is serving as a team captain this season, has twice been listed on the PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Last season as a sophomore, Stroup earned Honorable Mention All-PAC during the indoor season before adding Second Team All-PAC during the outdoor season. This winter, Stroup has earned a spot among the best in the PAC. Stroup claimed the PAC Championship in the 60-Meter Hurdles by registering a school record time of 9.21 to claim first place in the event.

Outside of track & field, she is involved with Washington Fellows and the Student Government Association at W&J. Stroup is also a research assistant for the History Department, where she assists the department chair in special projects.
