With President’s Day coming, we thought we’d take a look back at some of the greatest fictional presidents of all-time. Some of played the role as leader of the free world with the seriousness of the position while others have added their own comedic flair. Is this list incomplete? 100%. These are just some of our favs.

“Get. Your. Hands. off. My. Jordans!” Jamie Foxx was fantastic as President James Sawyer in White House Down, a high-energy film co-starring Channing Tatum.

Leslie Nielsen. Just saying his name out loud probably brings a smile to your face. Funny, funny man. His role as President Baxter Harris in Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 was sooooo good. He was great at playing not-so-bright people.

Julia Louis Dreyfus started out as vice president on Veep before taking over as leader of the free world. This clip has some NSFW language, so proceed with caution. If we could bleep it, we would. Sorry.

Dennis Haysbert started out on 24 as a senator running for president. He wound up as one of several presidents during the run of the show but, for us, he was easily the best of the best. His run as President David Palmer was amazing.

Kiefer Sutherland starred opposite Dennis Haysbert on 24, playing the iconic role of Jack Bauer. Kiefer went on to play Presdient David Kirkland in Designated Survivor.

President Arnold Schwarzenegger. It happened on The Simpsons Movie but, in this case, Arnold didn’t play himself. His voice was done by Harry Shearer, Mark Moseley and Tessho Genda.

Bill Puillman is the gold standard of fictional presidents, as far as we’re concerned. His speech as President Thomas J. Whitmore in Independence Day is awe-inspiring. We’d run through a wall for that guy.

So what do you think of our list? Again, it is certainly incomplete as so many actors and actresses have played their roles to perfection.

Anyway, here’s hoping you have President’s Day off from work. If not, hope that day is hassle-free.
