Andrew arrived as a stray, along with his brother Galveston (also available for adoption). Andrew does well with his brother, but has not been with any other dogs. We believe he may do OK with a female but not another male. He has some manners and does well on leash. He is polite for the most part. Doesn’t jump all over you but does like his snuggle time. Likes to play with toys and run the big play yard. He would love to go hiking with you. Do not recommend him for a family with chickens as he was found in a chicken coop/pen and the chickens did not fair well. That being said, I would guess a cat may not be a great idea either because of his prey drive. Andrew is a sweet loving boy and will gladly keep you warm during the long coming winter!
Perry County Animal Rescue (PCoAR) was started in 2009 because of love for animals. Our core mission is to shelter lost and unwanted animals from Juniata and Perry Counties until a new home is found. PCoAR promotes responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter education, vaccinations and general pet care. With the help of volunteers, PCoAR has successfully found homes for many animals as well as reuniting lost pets with their families.
