Local author Carrie Jacobs is back with another book, following up July’s Mending Fences. The Bucket List is out now!
The Bucket List is a complete stand-alone, not part of the Hickory Hollow series. It’s about Shasta, a woman whose chaotic childhood inspired her to make her life as safe as possible. When her company gives out the worst employee appreciation gifts EVER, leather bucket list journals, she realizes her life isn’t just safe, it’s boring. With the help of her adult daughter and the man she’s had a crush on for years, Shasta inches out of her comfort zone. But it just might be too little, too late.
Carrie will join the Merf Morning Show at 8:35 on Friday morning (September 23) to talk about her latest release. We will even give away a few copies of the book on Friday’s Merf Morning Show with Rocco Pallotto.
Mending Fences was the 6th book in the Hickory Hollow series and follows Chandler and Oren, a married couple with a brand new baby. Chandler is exhausted and Oren has to return to work. So, trying to be helpful, he invites his mother to stay. Of course, this was a very, very, very bad idea and it goes very, very wrong.
Carrie will be signing copies of her books at the Crooked Shelf (23 North Main Street, Lewistown) on Saturday (September 24), from 11 am – 1 pm. She will also have special edition Goose Day bookmarks on Saturday.
If you can’t make it out for the signing, they can order a signed book through her website – carriejacobsauthor.com – with free shipping through the end of the month with the code GOOSE DAY.
Reminder, if you have a AAA Passport to the Juniata River Valley, Crooked Shelf is a participating location, so stop by and make a purchase to get your passport stamp!
