Ryan Walker went to Mifflin County High School, twice winning the Harry Rothrock/Dick Webber Award as the county’s best boys basketball player. He started off playing for McDaniel but ended up transferring to Bloomsburg where he instead picked up the clubs. Walker has never played competitive golf. Not in high school, not in college. Until now.

The senior finance major yesterday led the Huskies to the first wins in program history as first-year team wound down its season. Walker had a stellar day on the course for the Huskies last week as he led BU with a 78 and was just one stroke off of the field leader, who shot a 77.
Bloomsburg earned the program’s first two dual match wins as the Huskies defeated the University of Scranton 320-329 and Clarks Summit University 320-417 in a tri-match last Thursday afternoon.
