The Mifflin County field hockey program has always been top-notch and, because of that, some Huskies go on to play in college. Juniata High School has a rock solid program, as well. Here’s how some of our locals did this year.

Coletta Beeler (Mifflin County) was a freshman for Division I Mid-American Conference program Central Michigan. Coletta saw time in three games this season (40:52), allowing three goals but saving seven.

Lydia Hidlay (Mifflin County) played in 17 of Susquehanna’s 20 games in her freshman year, scoring a goal an an assist. Her first collegiate goal came on September 18th against Gettysburg.

In her junior year for Millersville, Kortlin Yetter (Mifflin County) played in 17 of the 18 games they Marauders have played so far (the team is still alive as of this writing in PSAC tournament). Kortlin scored a goal and added an assist this season.

A freshman for Juniata College, Kaylyn Walters (Juniata High School) played in 17 of the Eagles’ 18 games this year, starting three times. She got off one shot on goal this year.

Bonus player from Perry County. Greenwood’s Paityn Wirth played in 12 of North Carolina’s games (so far) this season, scoring a pair of goals and adding a couple of assists.
