Several former Juniata Indians had big weekends for their college teams.

Janessa Swartz (Juniata High School, pictured) scored on a pass from sister Josie (cover photo) in Lock Haven University’s 1-0 women’s soccer win over Shippensburg.

Leah Sankey (East Juniata) scored her fifth goal of the year in King College’s 3-1 win over Delaware Valley.

And Thea Neimond (East Juniata) saw time on the Messiah defense in the Falcons’ 3-0 shutout of Eastern. Messiah (10-2-1) has won seven of eight with those seven victories all being by shutout. Sankey has played in all 13 games this season.
