The MCHS Marching Band had another succcessful weekend in Tournament of Bands, (TOB), competition.  On Saturday the band traveled to West Shore Stadium at Cedar Cliff High School in Camp HIll, PA to compete in the West Shore Classic Band Competition.
Once again the MCHS Band came home with a First Place trophy in Group 3-A Class, as well as the Specialty Awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best Percussion and Best Color Guard.
In the band’s traditional post performance huddle Band Director Art Belfiore asked how many students had their best performance of the season and all but two of the 76 students put up their hands.  Belfiore told the band, “when you perform as you did tonight I get chills up and down my spine…”
The MCHS Band score of 84.480 keeps them in second place overall in TOB’s Group 3-A Class behind Jackson Liberty HS from Jackson Township, NJ.  Complete results for all of Group 3-A Class are not yet available as there is a late Sunday night competition in New Jersey.
The MCHS Marching Band will be in competition again next weekend at the Williamsport Millionaire competition at Williamsport Area HS.  Tickets are only available at the gate.
