Juniata’s cross country teams competed against five other teams yesterday. Wyatt Stroup was the highest placing Juniata boy, placing fourth, while Emily Houtz was sixth overall for the Indians.

The Mifflin County golfers went 6-0 at a rain-shortened match yesterday, improving to 36-4 on the year. Owen Wise and Alex Kline were the top Huskies on the day.

Juniata alum Nylah Pannebaker has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The Pitt-Greensburg sophomore led the team in minutes on the Bobcat defense during the week, a D that allowed just one goal in two games.

The Phillies picked up a game on Atlanta in the NL East. The  Fightin’s beat the Chicago Cubs in a wild one, 6-5, while Colorado edged the Braves in 10, 3-2. Also yesterday, the Pirates nipped Cincinnati, 5-4.
