Authorities in Huntingdon County say a 20-year-old Coatesville man drowned Wednesday at Raystown Lake.  The victim, who has not been identified, attempted to swim across a channel when he was observed going under water.  His body was discovered by search teams several hours later. 

Commonwealth businesses are invited to participate in the “Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Road and Area Adoption Program.” The program is available statewide for municipal roads, parks, neighborhood blocks, greenways, waterways and trails. Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful provides a sign recognizing the volunteers’ efforts. The adopting group commits to keeping their road or area clean by coordinating a litter pick up twice a year.  Adopters can get free supplies through the Pick Up Pennsylvania Program. A Huntingdon County woman was victimized through a scam when she attempted to purchase a dog online.  According to State Police, an Alexandria woman attempted to purchase a dog on Pennswoods.com on September 12th.  The victim lost $700.  The investigation will continue.
