Greenwood picked up a 2-0 win over the Juniata boys soccer team.  Susquenita beat the Indian girls, 3-1. East Juniata and Millersburg’s boys, meanwhile, played to a scoreless tie.

Bellefonte defeated the Mifflin County golfers, 5-4, in match play yesterday. Tanner Ferguson and Bryson Bubb earned full points for the Huskies in defeat. Mifflin County’s record now sits at 30-4 on the year.

Fairfield edged the East Juniata volleyball team in five sets yesterday. Shayanne Pyle with three aces, four digs and a kill for the Tigers.

Colorado beat Atlanta, 5-4, but the Phillies were unable to capitalize on the Braves’ misfortune, falling to  the Chicago Cubs, 6-3, leaving the Fightin’s 4.5 games out in the NL East and dropping them three back in the wild card race with only 18 games to go.

Pittsburgh, by the way, picked up a 6-5 win over Cincinnati.

And Mifflin County’s field hockey team is off until at least September 24th due to a positive COVID case.
