The East Juniata golfers were fourth in a four-way match yesterday. Midd-West won, followed by Newport, Williamsport and then the Tigers. Caleb Kirk led EJ with an 85. Max Lauver also broke 100 for the Tigers, carding a 91.

The Phillies gained another game on first-place Atlanta with yesterday’s 12-6 win over Washington. The Braves, meanwhile, lost in L.A. to the Dodgers, 3-2. The Fightin’s are now just 2.5 games out in the NL East.

Also yesterday, Chicago’s White Sox beat the Pirates, 4-2, while, in the minors, Erie scored in the ninth to walk it off against Harrisburg, 6-5, and Akron took care of Altoona, 11-2.
