Geisinger continues to offer the COVID-19 vaccine at four vaccine centers and select Geisinger Pharmacy locations. Walk-in vaccinations will be available today (Wednesday, August 11th) at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital Vaccine Center on Highland Avenue Extended from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Geisinger is offering the Pfizer vaccine at all locations. Pfizer is a two-dose vaccine administered 21 days apart. The vaccines are available to anyone age 12 and over, but those under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian with them during vaccination.
Seniors can learn more about programs and services available to them during a free senior expo event hosted by Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman (R-Bellefonte) tomorrow (August 12th) in Lewistown. Exhibitors from state, county and local agencies will be on hand to provide information on a wide variety of benefits for older Pennsylvanians. The event will also include free health screenings, door prizes and light refreshments. The expo will be Thursday (August 12th) from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Lewistown Community Center on Montgomery Avenue.
Authorities in Huntingdon County say charges were filed after a false alarm was reported Monday morning. State Police arrested a 56-year-old York man after investigating an alarm in the area of Richvale and Tuscarora Creek Roads in Tell Township. Charges were filed due to the number of false alarms at the location in the past year.
