In each incident, unknown individuals tried to open unemployment claims by using the victim’s identity. The same scam has been reported recently in Mifflin and Huntingdon Counties. If you have been notified of an unemployment claim that you did not file, contact the state Unemployment Office, monitor your credit history, and contact local police. Never give personal information online or over the phone.
