The American League defeated the National League in last night’s Major League Baseball all-star game, 5-2. Phillies’ catcher J.T. Realmuto was 1-for-2 with a home run for the NL. Pirates’ second baseman Adam Frazier singled in one of his two at-bats. Bucs’ outfielder Brian Reynolds was hitless in his two trips to the plate.
In area Minor League action, Harrisburg lost to Akron, 8-3, and Altoona doubled up Binghamton, 6-3.
And Team USA basketball finally got a win, after a pair of exhibition upsets. The Americans beat Argentina yesterday, 108-80, as they continue to get ready for the coming Olympic Games.
