Charges could be filed after a two-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Lewistown. According to Borough Police, the crash occurred just before 12:30 pm at the intersection of North Main and Third Streets in the borough. A Mazda pickup driven by 25-year-old Jesse Laughlin-Henry of Derry Township drove through a red light and struck a Saturn Ion driven by 20-year-old Nicholas McNeil of Milroy. McNeil sustained serious injuries and was flown to a medical facility for treatment.
Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Jeff Bartos has announced a statewide bus tour with stops planned in all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. The tour will begin on Monday, July 19th and conclude on Saturday, July 31st. The ‘Fighting for Pennsylvania’ tour will focus on Bartos’ efforts to rescue Pennsylvania small businesses during the pandemic, as well as his platform to Save Mainstreet, Beat China, and Restore the American Dream. It will include business tours, meet and greets, roundtables, and other events with grassroots leaders throughout the commonwealth.

Geisinger walk-in and by-appointment COVID-19 vaccine events continue this week. Walk-in vaccinations will be available today (July 14th) at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital Vaccine Center on Highland Avenue Extended from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Geisinger is offering the Pfizer vaccine, which is a two-dose vaccine administered 21 days apart.

In addition to receiving public comments, the site will also be a source for information on the upcoming hearings, which begin on Thursday, July 22nd at the Capitol in Harrisburg.
