A weekend assault could result in charges against a Juniata County man.  The incident happened early Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Gridiron Pub on North Main Street in Mifflintown.  According to State Police, 29-year-old Thomas Berrier punched and kicked 21-year-old Brittney Weiand before deliberately hitting 21-year-old Evan Renninger with his truck.  Renninger sustained an injury to his knee.  Berrier was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility awaiting a preliminary hearing.

Penn State’s Ag Progress Days expo returns in August.  Pennsylvania’s largest outdoor agricultural expo is set to return as an in-person event, August 10th through the 12th at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs. Penn State will require Ag Progress Days visitors and exhibitors comply with any state, local or university mitigation measures that may be in effect at the time of the expo.  Ag Progress Days will feature a variety of workshops and presentations, farm safety demonstrations, youth activities, plus food, and other attractions.  Admission and parking are free.  For more information, visit the Ag Progress Days website (https://agsci.psu.edu/apd).
