The 34th Country Memories Day, co-sponsored by the McVeytown Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Registration will begin at 6 a.m. at the corner of Queen and Holiday streets for all registered vendors.

Breakfast will be served near the town square from 6 to 10 a.m. with returning favorites and first-time food vendors, as well as plenty of craft booths, open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The opening ceremony, to start at 9 a.m., will feature Carrol “Sis” Norton as master of ceremonies, flag-raising by Boy Scout Troop 104, the national anthem by Rex Goss and a prayer by Pastor Mark Hill.

Tractor and Wagon rides are scheduled and there will be a Strolling Magician throughout the day. DJ Don Diven will be on Queen Street beginning at 9 a.m. Displays of antique and classic automobiles and antique tractors (for more information, call Kevin and Andrea McCardle at 717-248-2946) on Queen Street all day, too.

Common Ground will be singing classic 1950’s music at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Queen Street at the McVeytown Presbyterian Church lawn.

Country Memories Day wooden replicas and baskets will be on sale at the information booth at the town square.

Finally, due to very crowded streets, people are asked to leave pets at home.
