Juniata’s Cheyenne Kirk scored three times and Elizabeth Gaisor struck out 10 over five innings to lead the Indians past Greenwood, 10-4. East Juniata’s girls, meanwhile, took two from Susquenita, 12-11 and 12-2. Alyssa Robinson had seven hits on the day, including a home run, while driving in nine. Juniata’s and EJ’s boys also won yesterday. The Indians topped Greenwood, 7-2, while EJ beat Susquenita, 10-1.
Mifflin County’s baseball team lost to Central Dauphin, 9-4. The Husky girls also lost to CD, 4-1.
The Phillies won and the Pirates lost. Fightin’s over Washington, 6-2, while Cincinnati beat the Buccos, 7-2.
In AA baseball, Richmond knocked off Harrisburg, 5-3, while Altoona shut out Binghamton, 5-0.
The Mifflin County girl’s lacrosse team earned a 14-10 Senior Night win over Midd-West. Kashia Smith with five goals for the Huskies. Sadie Fike added four more.
Mifflin County’s track and field team also won on Senior Night, beating Harrisburg, 112-38. Travis Renninger set a freshman school record in the discus and Josiah Sechler set a new sophomore record in the 100 for the Huskies.
And, playing without Joel Embiid, the Sixers lost in Indianapolis last night, 103-94. Philly is still up two games on Brooklyn for the one-seed in the East.
