The East Juniata baseball team had little trouble with St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy yesterday, cruising to a 24-1 win in just four innings. Line Mountain beat the Juniata boys, 6-1, while Line Mountain’s girls got a 19-srikeout performance from its pitcher, who also hit a walkoff homer in extra innings for the 2-1 victory over the Indians.

Juniata’s Max Lauver finished second at the District VI Class AA tennis tournament, losing in the final to a Richland player, 6-1, 6-0. The rest of the Indians, meanwhile, cruised past Shikellamy in a team match, 5-0.

Despite Bryce Harper leaving in the sixth after a pitch hit him in the face, the Phillies still beat St. Louis yesterday, 5-3. Elsewhere yesterday, Kansas City defeated the Pirates, 9-6.

The first round of the NFL draft happens tonight. Barring any trades, the Eagles pick 12th, the Steelers 24th.

And the Sixers are playing well again. Philly with the 127-83 blowout of Atlanta last night.
