A portion of Route 655 in Union Township, Mifflin County was closed yesterday due to a two-vehicle crash. The crash occurred at approximately 7:00 am near Brookmere Winery in Belleville. There are reports of injuries. Those involved have not been identified.
A Burnham man was injured yesterday when his motorcycle crashed into a tree. According to State Police, 21-year-old Tanner Carter was the operator of a Harley-Davidson that traveled off Old Stage Road just before 2:30 pm on Monday. Carter was flown to Hershey medical Center for treatment.
Governor Tom Wolf and the COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force have announced that effective today (Tuesday, April 13th), all Pennsylvania adults will be eligible to schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Department of Health noted that there is ongoing appointment availability in many parts of the state as Phase 1A and B continue, and 1C begins. With the change in eligibility, those in Phase 2 will become eligible.
State Senator Jake Corman (R-34) will host a virtual town hall meeting today (Tuesday, April 13th) to discuss the COVID-19 vaccine. Senator Corman’s virtual town hall will kick off at 6:30 pm. Participants will have the opportunity to speak directly with the Senator and the panel of experts.
