Eligibility has expanded for Pennsylvanians looking to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Starting today (Monday, April 12th), all residents in Phase 1C will be eligible to start scheduling vaccination appointments. Phase 1C includes essential workers in several fields, including transportation and logistics, water and wastewater, food service, shelter and housing, finance, information technology, energy, legal, government workers, news media, public safety, and public health workers. Starting Monday, April 19th, all residents will be eligible to start scheduling vaccination appointments.
PennDOT will be sweeping roadways in the Burnham and Reedsville areas beginning today. The work will take place from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm today (Monday, April 12th) and tomorrow (Tuesday, April 13th). Crews will be sweeping along Route 1005 (Main Street) from the intersection of Main Street and West Freedom Avenue in Burnham to the intersection of Main Street and Route 655, west of Reedsville. Drivers should anticipate short travel delays.
Bridge work begins today in Juniata County. The Route 3017 -Academia Road bridge, over a tributary of Tuscarora Creek in Beale Township, will be repaired beginning today (April 12th). The overall project includes two other bridges in Juniata County and one in Mifflin County.
