A pair of Mifflin County high seniors, Alyssa Souders and Jalynn Yoder are hosting a kickball tournament, Kick Against Misfortune, as their senior project.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 10, at the Burnham Jamboree grounds. Registration will start at 11:30 with the tournament beginning at noon. Teams can be anywhere from six to 12 players. Cost is $5 per person if you preregister or $7 per person if you register the day of the tournament. There will be a concession stand on-site, as well.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Siennick family, whose mother was brutally murdered by their father. The children are now living with their grandmother and looking to build a new home. Proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Siennick family housing fund.
