The three-day NCAA wrestling championships get underway today in St. Louis. North Carolina State sends nine to the tournament, including a pair of two-seeds out of Mifflin County High School, Hayden and Trent Hidlay (184). Hayden (157 pounds) has won 25 straight matches, dating back to last season, and has the chance to set a Wolfpack record by becoming the school’s first-ever four-time All-American. He was second in the country in his redshirt freshman season, fourth the following year and was named first team All-American last year after the pandemic shutdown. Redshirt sophomore Trent (pictured, right) is 29-5 so far nor NC State.
