Authorities say a vehicle struck a house at about 6:30 am Sunday morning in Lewistown.  According to Mifflin County Regional Police, 31-year-old Katie Hammond of Lewistown was the driver of an Audi that struck several parked cars before going airborne and striking a house on Route 522 North.  Occupants of the residence were not injured. Hammond was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment.  The crash is still under investigation.

PennDOT says work will begin today on the second season to complete three sections of a culvert system with box culverts on Route 26 and Moore Street in Huntingdon Borough.  Today, the contractor will begin preliminary work associated with the culvert located on Route 26.  Starting May 2nd, and until June 7th, the existing culvert will be replaced using a detour that is already in place.  The detour utilizes Route 22, and Route 1010 to Route 26. 

The Mifflin County School District says Bus 91 will not be running this week (March 15-19) due to lack of driver coverage. Parents will need to make alternate arrangements. If students assigned to Bus 91 cannot find alternate transportation to and from school, they will be granted an excused absence, and should access their class work using online platforms.
