A motor vehicle – buggy crash resulted in multiple injuries Sunday night. According to State Police, the crash involved two motor vehicles and a horse and buggy on Route 655 in Menno Township just after 7:00 pm. Two individuals were life-flighted from the scene. Two others were treated for minor injuries. Cause of the crash is under investigation.
Geisinger, Evangelical Community Hospital, and the Department of Justice have reached an agreement on a proposed final judgment that will allow Geisinger to maintain an investment in Evangelical. The judgment resolves the underlying Department of Justice lawsuit filed in August 2020. Under terms of the agreement, which are pending a public comment period and final court decision in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania later this year, Geisinger would maintain an investment in Evangelical. Since the original minority investment was announced October 1st, 2018, Geisinger has made investments in programs that enhance the health and wellness of the Lewisburg community and surrounding areas.
Authorities in Huntingdon County are searching for information after a stray bullet struck a house in Shirley Township. The incident happened March 1st at about 10:00 pm on Hill Valley Road in Mount Union. According to State Police, no one was injured, and there was only minor damage. Anyone with information should contact State Police at Huntingdon.
