A Mifflin woman died in a one-vehicle weekend crash in Juniata County. According to State Police, 69-year-old Ratana McKeever was the driver of a Dodge Ram on Route 35 in Milford Township at about 2:40 pm Sunday. McKeever lost control of the vehicle due to slippery conditions caused by snowfall. The Ram fishtailed off the roadway before striking an embankment and a utility pole. McKeever was pronounced dead at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. A passenger in her vehicle, 58-year-old Timothy Shuman of Mifflin, sustained minor injuries.
Both lanes of Route 235 were closed between Route 522 in Spring Township, Snyder County and Turkey Valley Road (Route 2023) in Susquehanna Township, Juniata County due to a tractor-trailer crash yesterday. The roadway was closed for several hours.
