Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) and House Appropriations Committee Majority Chairman Stan Saylor (R-York) have sent a letter to Governor Tom Wolf asking for a briefing for the House leadership team on Pennsylvania’s plan to deploy the COVID-19 vaccine.  Benninghoff said “Pennsylvania is the fifth most populous state in the country, and ensuring Pennsylvanians are protected from this deadly virus is important to getting this country back to normal.”    Saylor underscored the importance of having the vaccine deployed efficiently.

The Mifflin County Regional Police Department completed two hundred, sixty-one (261) incident reports for the month of December. Of those reports, Regional Officers investigated eleven (11) incidents of burglary – theft – fraud, two (2) assaults, and thirty-eight (38) motor vehicle accidents. Regional Officers issued twenty-four (24) traffic citations and four (4) non-traffic citations. In addition, Regional Officers made two (2) arrests for DUI last month.

And several buses within the Mifflin County School District will not be transporting today: Bus 171, Bus 178, Bus 155 and Bus 80.
