Penn State men’s basketball has paused all team-related activities due to positive COVID-19 results among its Tier 1 personnel.  Due to the pause, the Nittany Lions’ home games against Michigan (Jan. 9) and Rutgers (Jan. 12) have been postponed. The institutions will work with the Big Ten Conference to identify rescheduling options. No determination has been made on how the pause may impact scheduled games beyond Jan. 12.

Bradley Beal recorded a career-high 60 points for the Wizards as they fell to the 76ers, 141-136, in Philadelphia. Joel Embiid led the way for the 76ers with 38 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks in the victory. The 76ers improve to 7-1 on the season, while the Wizards fall to 2-6.
