Meet Cassie! She is a senior black German Shepherd. Approximately 12 to 13 years old. She came to the rescue because her daddy passed away, then her mommy went to the hospital. She is now looking for a warm, loving home where she can live out her life. A quiet, laid back home with very few stairs, would be the best. She has early hip issues and is starting to have difficulties walking. She can enjoy short, leisurely stroll. She would prefer a home were she is living with adults. Would be best in a home were someone is with her most of the time as she does have separation issues. She will bark, cry and dig to get out. She DOES still have life and love! She is very loving and laid back. Though she is growly with other dogs. We believe because she fears being hurt. Cats are fine. She loves to be with her person. Loving and loyal. If you are willing to take this old girl into your home and love her for the short life she might have left, she will surely give it back tenfold.

Meet Cassie today at Perry County Animal Rescue. Perry County Animal Rescue (PCoAR) was started in 2009 because of their love for animals. The core mission of PCoAR is to shelter lost and unwanted animals from Juniata and Perry Counties until a new home is found. PCoAR will promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter education, vaccinations and general pet care. With the help of volunteers, they have successfully found homes for many animals as well as reuniting lost pets with their families.
