Mifflin County field hockey player Lydia Hidlay has been named a Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division First Team all-star. Earning Second Team honors were teammates Coletta Beeler, Monica Druckenmiller and Hailee Sheetz. Huskies’ Gavin Ream, Conner Zimmerman, Bailey McNitt and Aubrey Strohecker were all named Keystone Division Second Team soccer all-stars.

Penn State, down to #15 in the country, is off to an 0-3 start after losing to #14 Wisconsin, 6-3, in men’s hockey last night. The Lions and Badgers will play again tonight.

The Los Angeles Rams regained a piece of first place in the NFC West with last night’s 27-24 victory over Tampa Bay. The Rams and Seahawks both sit at 7-3. The loss drops the 7-4 Buccaneers a game and a half behind New Orleans in the NFC South.

And the Big Ten unveiled its women’s basketball 20-game conference schedule for the coming season. The Lions’ non-conference schedule starts with a game against Coppin State tomorrow. Big Ten play gets underway on December 20th against Purdue.
